Dermaroller reuses the same needles every time, while microneedling with Dermapen uses sterile, single-use disposable needles to avoid cross-contamination Unlike rollers that move horizontally across the skin, dermapen move vertically to minimize unnecessary trauma on the epidermis, so you can expect quicker healing and better results.

You can notice the difference after the first session once the downtime subsides. However, we recommend courses in 3-6 sessions to see significant changes. This also depends on your skin’s concern. Dermapen is much more painless compared to other microneedling treatments. For treatment below 1 mm (for rejuvenation), most patients claim it is pain-free. If your concern is for the scar & stretch mark, you may experience mild discomfort as we need to go deeper to release the fibrous tissue (more than 1 mm). The topical anesthetic cream will be applied around 30 minutes to make sure you’re comfortable during the procedure
You will experience mild redness for 48-72 hours following the rejuvenation and pigmentation concern. For the scars & stretch marks, the redness will be longer as the depth is deeper to release the fibrous tissue. At Healthy Look Aesthetic Center Ubud, we care much about the aftercare. All dermapen treatment with us comes with a complimentary soothing peptide mask to accelerate the healing process. A thin camouflage can be applied to conceal the redness after 24 hours. Some patients also experience dryness & peeling for a few days during the healing process before revealing smooth skin.
